ASP Tag-Along: Wild Horses & Southern Utah
October 9–14, 2025
Hosted by Ted York Photography, assisted by Doug Bennett

Step into the pages of a western epic—photograph wild horse herds, chase light through red canyons, and explore the raw, cinematic beauty of Southern Utah.**

Join ASP members Ted York and Doug Bennett on an unforgettable tag-along through Utah’s wildest terrain. This five-day adventure is SUV-friendly and designed for photographers who crave drama, history, and heart-pounding natural wonder.

This is where Ted captured his World Photographic Cup–winning image of fighting wild horses—and now, you can capture the story for yourself.

What’s on the trail:
• Wild horses west of Salt Lake City
• The historic Pony Express Trail
• Utah’s “Little Grand Canyon”
• Ancient petroglyphs and dinosaur tracks in Buckhorn Wash
• Moonscape Overlook and Goblin Valley
• Slot canyons like Little Wild Horse
• A grand finale in Moab with sunset at Green River Overlook and drone flights at Dead Horse Point

Routes are scenic and unpaved but improved, perfect for SUVs with a bit of ground clearance. You’ll lodge along the way, share meals with fellow photographers, and photograph sunrise to sunset in landscapes that defy imagination.
