The ASP Educational Associate Degree recognizes photographers who demonstrate a profound commitment to advancing photographic education through teaching, speaking, writing, and thought leadership. This prestigious degree honors those who go beyond participation, actively shaping the future of the industry by sharing knowledge and inspiring others.

Applicants must hold the PPA Photographic Craftsman degree, be an ASP member in good standing, and have earned 30 additional merits in speaking, teaching, or writing following their degree, during consecutive years of membership. A minimum of three consecutive years of ASP membership is required prior to application and judging.

As part of the process, candidates will submit a scholarly paper of at least 3,500 words, presenting original research and a forward-thinking contribution to photographic education.

Application deadline is June 30th, with the required thesis due by July 31st.
